Business Rewards Mastercard Frequently Asked Questions

What is Mastercard Rewards?
Mastercard Rewards is a free loyalty program available to all Citadel cardholders. Mastercard Rewards provides the ultimate choice in rewards—merchandise, gift cards, travel— along with Pay with Rewards™ which allows you to pay with points anywhere Mastercard is accepted.
How do I access my Mastercard Rewards account?

To access your rewards account log into Online and Mobile Banking, click your credit card account and in the ‘Card Services’ tab click ‘Redeem’.

Do points expire?

All card rewards have a 5 year expiration date. Rewards will expire on 12/31 of their 5th full year of life. For example, a point is earned in 2021. It's first year towards the 5 year expiration date is 2022, and will expire on 12/31/2026.

Debit card rewards will remain available for redemption until they reach the expiration date.

How do I earn business points?

You earn points simply by using your Citadel Business Rewards Mastercard. The breakdown is below:

2 points for every $1 spent on gas and office supplies; 1.5 points for every $1 spent on other purchases. The following types of transactions will not earn points: balance transfers, cash advances and other cash-like transactions, lottery tickets, casino gaming chips, race track wagers or similar betting transactions, any checks that access your account, interest, unauthorized or fraudulent charges, and fees of any kind.

How do I redeem my business points?
The Mastercard Business Rewards portal provides you the ability to manage, redeem and transfer rewards you have earned. The portal is accessible through Online and Mobile Banking.

All Credit Card Rewards Offers

Rewards are earned on purchases minus any credits or returns (“net purchases”).

Cash advances and balance transfers are not considered purchases and will not earn rewards.

For category bonus rewards, merchants are assigned a merchant category code by the merchant or its processor in accordance with Mastercard procedures based on the kinds of products and services the merchant primarily sells. Citadel does not control the assignment of these codes and is not responsible for the codes used by merchants. You may expect a purchase to earn rewards within a category, but if the code assigned to the merchant isn’t within that category, your purchase will not qualify for the bonus points. In addition, some purchases made through third-party accounts, mobile or wireless card readers, online or mobile digital wallets, or similar technology may not qualify in a rewards category, depending on how the technology is set up to process the purchase.
