How do I stop payment on a check or ACH in Online and Mobile Banking?

Frequently Asked Question
A stop payment can be requested for an uncashed check or series of checks from a checking account, money market, or Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC), and is effective for six months. A stop payment cannot be made on a check that has already been cashed.
Stop payments can also be made on Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments, a type of electronic bank-to-bank payment that operates through the ACH Network. Funds are sent directly from your account when you provide a routing and account number for payment. Examples include utility bills or automated loan payments to another lender.
How to Stop Payments
Stop payments on checks and ACH transfers can be placed through Online & Mobile Banking or with a representative. If you’re not already signed up, you will need to enroll in Online & Mobile Banking.
