What is a virtual or device account number?

All your payment cards stored in Samsung Pay are assigned a device account number. This number is used instead of your actual card number when you make a purchase with Samsung Pay, so that your payment info isn’t shared with the merchant.

If you ever need to make a return, you might have to provide the last 4 digits of your device account number. You can find your device account number on the card details screen in your Samsung Pay app.
