Online bill pay services can be a helpful tool for organizing your bills and paying them on time. You can pay almost any company or individual with a mailing address in the United States:

  • Utilities like gas and electricity
  • Communications like phone, cable and internet
  • Rent or mortgage
  • Credit cards
  • Auto loans
  • Gym memberships
  • Ongoing charitable donations

You can:

  • Make a one-time payment to a company that sends you a bill, such as a medical bill
  • Make individual payments for bills that differ each month — like the phone or utility bill
  • Pay a person or company you owe money to but don't receive a bill from, such as your lawn mowing service
  • Set up automatic payments for recurring bills — like mortgage or cable TV
  • Enroll in 'eBills' and have your bill electronically delivered to you directly in bill payer for eligible billers.
