Citadel Credit Union Appoints Chief Risk Officer

EXTON, Pa., October 24, 2024 Citadel Credit Union is pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Palumbo as Chief Risk Officer. Chris brings over 30 years of extensive experience in financial services, with a strong focus on risk management, regulatory compliance, and operational leadership. Throughout his career, he has led the development and implementation of comprehensive risk management frameworks and improved regulatory compliance across various financial sectors. At Citadel, he will be responsible for ensuring the institution's operations align with regulatory standards.

Chris began his career as a logistics officer in the Marines Corps stationed in California and later earned an MBA from Pepperdine University. He is a Villanova graduate and is excited to be returning to Southeastern Pennsylvania.

Chris also served as the SVP of Risk Management and Loss Prevention at JPMorgan Chase and as a Supervisory Officer at the Federal Reserve, coordinating with regulatory bodies such as the OCC, FDIC, state agencies, and NCUA on policy and framework development, focused on risk and compliance, particularly safety and soundness. Most recently, Chris served as the Practice Lead at North Highland for Risk Regulatory, and Compliance Services.
