Citadel offers customers access to one of the nation’s most trusted identity detection and recovery services. Our ID theft subscription packages can cover an entire family and start at only $3.95 per month. 

Fully Managed Identity Theft Recovery

As a subscriber, if you suspect your identity has been stolen or if your information is compromised, you can contact a personal Recovery Advocate who can complete the recovery work on your behalf, report on progress along the way, and be there for you until everything is restored – no matter how long it takes.

Your Recovery Advocate will:

  • Assist in placing fraud alerts at the three major credit bureaus
  • Review your credit reports to identify the extent of fraudulent activity
  • Remediate fraudulent transactions, false accounts, and/or contracts signed
  • Support law enforcement as they work to stop the criminal(s) using your identity
  • Follow up with you for 12 months

Family Coverage

If you subscribe to a Family Package, Fully Managed Identity Theft Recovery services automatically extend to cover three generations of your family (3G), including:

  • Spouse or domestic partner
  • Dependents under age 25 with the same permanent address
  • IRS-qualified dependents
  • Parents living with you or in elder care (nursing home, assisted living, or hospice)

All 3G family members are covered for 12 months after death as well—an important benefit as identity thieves target deceased individuals.

Lost Document Replacement

If important documents are lost or stolen, your Recovery Advocate can work with you to obtain replacements for the missing documentation.

Identity Theft Expense Reimbursement Insurance

All packages include $1,000,000* of Identity Theft Expense Reimbursement Insurance. This benefit covers out-of-pocket expenses incurred during the recovery of your identity, such as attorneys’ fees, lost wages, and more.

Credit Monitoring

Receive alerts as often as daily for any changes to your credit file. Alerts include but are not limited to credit inquiries, new credit lines, derogatory credit, name change and address changes. This service is available to individuals age 18 or older with a valid credit file. Email and SMS alerts available. Single bureau and three bureau options available.

Score Tracker

The Score Tracker displays your monthly credit score graphically, so you can clearly view how your credit score has changed over time. Please note: The credit score provided by Score Tracker cannot be relied on to determine creditworthiness for any particular loan opportunity.

Credential Vault

The Credential Vault securely stores up to fifty personal credentials online for easy retrieval. In addition to credit and debit card numbers, you can store credentials such as account numbers, license numbers, and other important information.

Internet Black Market Monitoring

Internet Black Market Monitoring will detect if your personal information or credentials are exposed in high-risk areas of the internet such as black market websites, chat rooms, and bulletin boards.

ID Monitoring – Public Records

The ID Monitoring will monitor your name, address, and Social Security number to detect possible financial or non-financial identity theft.

How am I notified if someone opens an account with my name?

Credit monitoring provides protection against identity theft by monitoring your credit report for new activity. If and when any new activity occurs, you will receive an alert which has been triggered by a change in your credit file. The alert will provide details on the type of activity which has triggered the change, I.E. new credit account, application for any type of loan, or change of address, etc. If you believe any activity is fraudulent, our Recovery Advocates are available to assist you. Actively monitoring your credit report will ensure identity theft is recognized and with the help of our Recovery Advocates, handled properly and expediently.

How will I be notified if fraud occurs using ID Theft Coverage?

You can choose to receive notifications via email, text or both, which you will choose during the enrollment process. 

How long does it take to recover my identity if theft occurs?

Fully-Managed Recovery provides a certified Recovery Advocate to work on your behalf to perform the necessary tasks to help restore your identity to pre-theft status. Our professionals perform research, complete and file forms, and contact companies, agencies and financial institutions to ensure that any documented fraudulent activity is addressed and resolved.  This process, and the length of time necessary to resolve it, is dependent on the type of fraud you have experienced.

Will Citadel's ID Theft service notify me of fraud on my credit or debit cards or just for Identity theft?

Citadel ID Theft Protection does not monitor or alert on specific transactions made on your credit cards. However, with Internet Monitoring, we will proactively monitor the Internet for accounts and personally identifiable information (PII) that you specify. In addition to your registered PII, you can monitor black market websites, chat rooms and bulletin boards for up to 50 unique pieces of personal and account information. The service can also monitor the Dark Web for your credit card numbers and bank account information. You will receive email and text alerts and you can access your account at any time to get details on the severity and recommended action when any of your monitored information is located. Recovery Advocates are ready to assist you with all types of fraud - financial and non-financial in the event you are a victim.

Is there a reimbursement limit for expenses in the event of ID Theft?

Your Identity Theft Expense Reimbursement Policy will pay you back for any qualifying expenses up to $1,000,000 with no deductible required. Your coverage also includes a weekly reimbursement limit up to a $6,250 for lost wages if you have to take time off work to deal with your identity theft problem*. This plan is underwritten by member companies of American International Group, Inc. (AIG), a leading international insurance organization in the world.

Will I dispute transactions with Citadel if fraud occurs or through my ID Theft package?

Recovery Advocates are ready to assist you with all disputes relating to a fraud event. You may initiate your dispute directly with Citadel, or contact a Recovery Advocate at (866) 647-6223.

Who do I contact if I have questions or concerns regarding ID Theft?

How and when will ID Theft payments be taken from my account?

During enrollment, you can choose to pay via ACH (electronic withdrawal) or with a credit card. Program fees are assessed each month on the date of your enrollment.
