Recent ATM and Payment Activity

Please read the following information regarding recent ATM activity at Citadel (as of January 18, 2023).

At Citadel Credit Union, the security of our members’ information and accounts is our top priority. Recently, our security team identified unusual ATM activity at select Citadel branches. As a precaution, we temporarily disabled these ATMs while we remediated the issue, and these devices are now back online. Citadel continues to work diligently with law enforcement to address this matter.

Most importantly, we are taking care of our members who have been impacted by this situation. If you are a Citadel member and have noticed unusual or unauthorized activity on your account, please contact us. Our Member Care Team is available to assist: CitadelBanking.com/ContactUs. What happened?

Our security team has verified some unusual ATM & payment activity that occurred across our charter area (Southeastern Pennsylvania). Citadel continues to work diligently with law enforcement to investigate this issue and catch the perpetrators involved. As a precaution, we temporarily disabled the ATMs while we remediated the issue and these ATMs are now back online.

How do I know if I was affected?

We encourage all members to double check their accounts in Online Banking or the Citadel Mobile App as we continue to investigate. If you notice any unauthorized transactions, please contact us immediately.

What should I do if I think my card / account was compromised?

If you notice any unauthorized transactions on your account, please contact us immediately. You can stop by any Citadel branch, call our Member Care team at (800) 666-0191, chat virtually with a team member using Video Connect, or another option of your choice: CitadelBanking.com/ContactUs.

How can I protect myself?

To improve the security of your cards, you can change your PIN at any time using our Adel Voice Banking. Simply follow the steps below:

  • Call our main number (800-666-0191) and say, “CHANGE PIN.” Adel will then ask if it is a debit or credit card and reroute you to the proper menu.
