Frequently Asked Questions

My car has a warranty. Why would I buy this now? Can I wait until my warranty expires?
The price of coverage depends on the age and mileage of a vehicle. As a car ages, it costs more to cover. Just like health insurance, the older you are the more it costs. Also, since your car has factory coverage, this is taken into consideration in the price. It’s always less expensive to purchase coverage sooner than later and you would save money by purchasing while you still have factory warranty.
Do I really need mechanical repair coverage?
When it comes to protecting your investment in your vehicle, there is no better way than mechanical repair coverage. Purchasing coverage guarantees the provider will pay for expensive repairs and not you. Not only will you save money on repairs, but you also get additional benefits such as 24/7 roadside assistance, towing, and car rental.
What if my car never breaks?

This is the first question most people ask. It is a given that all cars are going to break. If they didn’t, all vehicles would come with unlimited lifetime warranties.

According to a recent J.D. Power dependability study, 61.6% of all three-year-old vehicles had repair work done. And as a car gets older, the number of problems increase. This isn’t very surprising to anyone who has ever owned a car. The real question is, “what am I going to do when my car breaks”?

Where can I take my car for repairs?
You can go to any licensed repair facility of your choosing, anywhere in the United States or Canada. This can be your local repair shop, a national chain, or your dealership.
How is the repair shop paid?
The repair shop is paid directly by credit card immediately after completing the repairs to your satisfaction.
I do my own repairs. Will they be covered?
No. You must take your car to a licensed repair facility.
What happens when this expires? Can I get another plan?
Yes, you can get another coverage plan. You would qualify for coverage as long as the car is less than 15 years old and has less than 150,000 miles.
What happens if I sell my car?
You have two options. The first is the coverage is transferable to the new owner making your car worth more since it will come with a coverage policy. The second option is you can cancel the coverage at any time and receive a pro-rated refund based on how much of the coverage you had used.
