Phil Sutliff, Head of Business Banking

Phil has over a decade of experience managing growth-minded business teams and working directly with businesses of all sizes. He joined Citadel in 2021 to lead the development of the Credit Union’s Business Banking division, and in addition to hiring new talent, he has since helped Citadel develop a suite of full-service checking, savings, and cash management options for businesses across the Greater Philadelphia region and beyond.

In his daily work, Phil strives to be a financial champion for business owners and remains well versed in small business regulations, tax laws, and investments. During the pandemic and throughout other economic challenges, he has worked closely with countless business owners to secure the financing support they need to ensure recovery & prosperity.

Prior to joining Citadel, Phil served as Vice President of Business and Wealth at Blue Federal Credit Union in Colorado, and he previously held senior leadership roles at both Santander Bank and Bank of America. He received his undergraduate in Business from the University of Valley Forge, and earned his MBA with honors from Crown College.

In his free time, Phil enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, as well as bass fishing, fitness, and reading. He is involved in several charities and nonprofit organizations in our community and fulfills his passion for youth leadership and community development by serving as a guest speaker and mentor at the University of Valley Forge.
