Assistance When You Need it Most

Through our Loan Assistance Program, we’re here to support our members facing financial hardship during this challenging time.

Loan Assistance Program

In March, we automatically pushed loan due dates out for up to three months for most members, to alleviate financial hardship due to COVID-19. With payment due dates back on their regular billing schedule, we’re offering members help through our Loan Assistance Program on the following loan types:

  • Credit Cards
  • Auto Loans
  • Personal Loans
  • Home Equity Lines of Credit

The Option to Reduce Your Monthly Payment

Through the program, if you’re experiencing financial hardship, you have the option to cut your loan payment in half (down to $25) for two-month intervals. Please note: interest will still accrue each month, and your credit limits will be suspended during the time you’re enrolled in the program.

Complete the Loan Assistance Form

Enrolling in the program is simple to do through Online and Mobile Banking. Log in and go to the ‘Loans’ section of the menu. From there, select the “Loan Assistance Form.”

You will only need to fill out this form once, even if you are applying for assistance on multiple loans. This form will drive the request to our Loan Assistance team, who will contact you within 2-3 business days.

If you don't have Online Banking, simply give us a call at (800) 666-0191 to start the process and enroll in Loan Assistance today.

You can Renew if Needed

Every two months, you can renew your enrollment in the Loan Assistance Program if you are still facing financial hardship by working with the loan assistance team.

➜ Credit Limits

Please be aware, if you have a Line of Credit or Citadel Mastercard, your credit limit will be suspended during the program. Recurring charges will not be paid. In addition, if you have an auto loan, your allowable GAP claim could be reduced because of the extension of the loan.

➜ Late Fees

Citadel will once again charge late fees on loans effective July 1. If you are enrolled in the Loan Assistance Program and not delinquent, as long as you make your reduced payment, a late fee will not apply.

Mortgage Relief

We understand a mortgage is often a family’s largest monthly expense. With so many people in our community experiencing financial hardship at this time, Citadel promises to help our members who need mortgage relief. Our Mortgage Assistance Team is here to talk about your individual circumstances and assess what we can do. If your family is struggling to make a mortgage payment due to COVID-19, please fill out Citadel’s Mortgage Payment Assistance Form to request payment relief. Each request will be carefully reviewed by a member of our Mortgage Assistance Team, who will get back to you in 3-5 business days. You can apply for mortgage relief each month as needed.

If you have enrolled in Unemployment Protection Insurance on your loan(s) through Citadel’s Member’s Choice™ Borrower Security program, Citadel is here to help.
